Divine Love

Lord, You knew every single
day of my life,
yet, You chose to die
for my sins.

You knew I would fail You,
every now and again,
yet, You perfectly loved me
with all my burden of imperfections.

God, why did You love me?
Why did You take my place
when I should've been condemned,
when You knew I would nail You
on the cross again and again,
and all my wickedness
would thrust nails into Your feet and hands
and thorns would throb deep into Your forehead?

Lord,I don't deserve Your mercies
Your love, I ain't worth of it
Though, it is what proves You GOD:
You took the place of humans
You died for mockers and killers
and even today Your love
pours on those who ignore You,
forgiving those who
nailed You on the tree of curse.

"Why, one will hardly die for a righteous man--though perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die.But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5 v 8-9
